Quite a strong message to get everyone who was able motivated to help protect this country, and as history shows it worked, people were recruited and we were able to protect our country and defeat the enemy.<\/p>

Be alert in your local community<\/h3>

I have lost count of how many times I drive from my home and go through my local area to get to where I want to go, be that work, shopping or to go on a day out. I thought I knew my local area like the back of my hand. One day I decided to go for a stroll around my local area, the sun was out and a gentle breeze was blowing. I was surprised to find pathways that I had driven past many times that lead to a beautiful meadow and there was side roads I had driven past lined with interesting little shops. I realised then that I really did not know the area that I was living in all the past years, it was my home area that I guess I took for granted by did not take much notice.<\/p>

Light bulb moment<\/h3>

I realised when speaking to people in my local area that they too did not know much about the area they called home. The inspiration for this tshirt design came from my memories of the pointing finger on the \u201cyour country needs you\u201d posters and the play on words \u201c be alert your country needs lerts\u201d.<\/p>

We need to be alert to what there is around our homes in our local areas. We need to be alert so the tshirt design of course has the pointing finger and sending out the message \u201cBe Alert, your world needs lerts. Be alert and help save your planet\u201d.<\/p>
