has been around as long as people have been able to write. If I think about poetry I think about a quill, inkpot and blotting paper in Shakesperian times and something romantic to a potential suitor.<\/p>

Yes you read that right, I wrote a poem about writing poetry so if you are all sitting comfortably I will begin\u2026<\/p>

Poetry comes from the heart<\/em><\/p>

I think for sure that\u2019s where it starts<\/em><\/p>

All your experiences and emotions to<\/em><\/p>

That are buried deep down inside of you<\/em><\/p>

Then one day with pen between fingers<\/em><\/p>

Over the page in your hand it lingers<\/em><\/p>

Then the words begin to flow<\/em><\/p>

As your poem starts to grow<\/em><\/p>

Word after word, line after line<\/em><\/p>

You often forget to watch the time<\/em><\/p>

Just writing down your deepest thoughts<\/em><\/p>

Now within this poem they are caught<\/em><\/p>

But now we must stop, don\u2019t want it too long<\/em><\/p>

It might start to resemble a song<\/em><\/p>

Thanks for reading, and if you feel it inside<\/em><\/p>

Then start writing a poem and let your pen glide<\/em><\/p>

Poetry has been around for thousands of years and can be written about anything you want. If you can think it and feel strongly enough about it then with a pen in your hand put your thoughts on a page.<\/p>
